Andrew Evans (Public Participation in Local Decision Making: Evaluating
the Potential of Virtual Decision Making Environments) is presently a research fellow
in the Centre for Computation Geography of the University of Leeds. Aside from his
interest in the web as a mechanism for enhancing informed democracy, his other research
interests include census confidentiality problems resulting from recent computer advances.
He also has a sideline in glacial research, in which his interests are modelling glacial
processes, sediment rheology and microstructures, and, recently, Antarctic climate change
(as part of the Ocean Drilling Program).
