David Barrowcliff (Learning Sites: networked resources and the learning
community) is now working at the media research and analysis company Milward Brown
Precis. Previously he was at Delahaye Medialink. He graduated
from Loughborough University in 1996 with 1st class honours in Psychology. He gained
employment on a project funded by the Leverhulme Trust investigating the psychology of
dietary behaviour and change. In the beginning of 1997 David gained employment to develop
innovative teaching aids at Loughborough University under the direction of Dr Charles
Crook (see http://devpsy.lboro.ac.uk/psygroup/video).
It was during this time that his interest in the socio-cultural aspects of computer
mediated communication developed. Through natural progression he gained employment on the
Virtual Society? programme Learning Sites investigating
how networked technologies are re-configuring teaching and learning within higher
education.
