Jonathan P Allen (The Development of Handheld Computing in the UK: New Technology, Uncertain Uses) is a University Assistant Lecturer in Information Systems at the Judge Institute of Management Studies, and the Department of Engineering, at the University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD in Computerization, Organizations, Policy, and Society from the University of California, Irvine. Jonathan's research focuses on the adoption, adaptation, and combination of new information technologies and services. Recent research projects focus on how commitments are made to uncertain, emerging technologies, and the adaptation of large-scale, pre-packaged systems in organisations.
