Geoff Lightfoot (Groupware: computer mediated meetings and the mediation of memory) obtained his BA from the Open University, his MSc from the London School of Economics and his PhD at the Small Business Research Centre at Kingston University. Before joining Keele as a lecturer in MIS/Accounting, he held a number of posts in the Civil Service including spells at the Enterprise and Deregulation Unit at the DTI and the Financial Management Division at Customs and Excise. His research interests and publications centre around smaller and family businesses, financial markets and the virtual organisation.
